UFP - Ships

This is an archive of the ships in our UFP Role play threads as they are set in the far future the ships have taken on new form to those of the series and are far more advanced.

Im hoping that this will add more depth to our RP's and bring some visual closer to what our mighty vassals look like.

Name: HMS Cavalier.
Class: Titan first generation
Role: Heavy Fleet support and Command.

History: Built at Anico shipyards at the same time as her sister ship the USS Hood by the Regent of Anico before it was annexed by the UFP. Its career was rather bland up until it came under the command of its first federation officer Commander Helix Falks.

The Cavalier remained at the forefront of Helix's fleet as he rose through the ranks and its systems were constantly refitted with the best tech Helix's research team could devise. By a twist of fate when Helix became governor of the Anico's Star system the Cavalier made a return home, at which point Helix changed its designation back to HMS and from that point on all ship's built at the Anico ship yards were given that designation.

The Cavalier has seen action in every major battle fought over the last 60 years and it often plays a key role.

Now the mighty ship is under the Command of Ballard Falks.

Its Command staff consists of Commander Mavrick, Weapons officer LT.Commander Jason Keen, Operations Officer LT. David Andrews, Helmsman LT. John Kane, Science officer Commander La'Mir, Chief Engineer Commander Sharon Coal.

Name: USS Hood.
Class: Titan first generation.
Role: Extended deep space exploration, Battlegroup command in combat situations.

Crystalline dual lattice shields, EMP auto-cannon and Point defence lasers. Specialist torpedo storage bays, capacities are 500 Photon, 500 Quantum, 250 Antimatter and 125 Nuclear. Torpedo replication systems also fitted, each torpedo takes twenty-three minutes to replicate.

History:

The HMS Hood was constructed at Anico shipyards along side her sister ship, the HMS Cavalier. Taken over by the Federation, she was re-designated USS Hood and her first federation Commanding officer, Captain Pattis, had command for well over 20 years and the Hood travelled to every part of the federation and a few places that were not part of the federation.

Captain Pattis was replaced by Captain Wilson, who was replaced by Captain Nazer. When the Cavalier was re-designated HMS, the USS Hood became the federation flagship and was re-fitted for diplomatic duties, which she did for 15 years.

During the command of Captain Johnson the Hood was assigned to the outer rim to investigate the disappearance of a research base, only to come into contact with an enemy fleet. Captain Johnson was killed in action and the Hood was brought home by her XO, Commander Stryder. Full details on the incident can be found here.

Promoted to Captain for his actions, Captain Stryder took command of the Hood two days before the battle of Rura Penthe and remained in command until the Hood was decommissioned. She was left in a decaying orbit around a barren moon in an empty system in D43, a Delta Galaxy.

Stryder had moved to the Epsilon Galaxies and become Head of Security, he used his influence to have the Hood retrieved and transferred to Epsilon where she was heavily refitted and returned to service under the command of Captain Harrow.

The Hood took part in the Cour 'Var incident, and shortly thereafter returned to the Delta Galaxies with Commodore Stryder to help deal with the constant attacks on the Federation there.

Systems: Class 23 Confederate Cloak (Does not officially exist). No known sensor had been able to detect the cloak to date. Extra Deck has been built incorporated to allow for a scaled antimatter power generation unit to be outfitted. Warp drive capable of outpacing all Confederate vessels and all known Federation vessels. Four twin phase banks, two fore and two aft with an aft mounted torpedo launcher. 15 photon, 10 quantum, and 5 flare torpedoes. Passive sensor with cyclical data processing, undetectable to all but the most advance systems. Fused honeycomb armor renders hull nearly indestructible against initial enemy barrage.

History:Personal craft of Admiral Jumper. it is used be the admiral for personal matters. Has not participated in open combat to date.

Class : Leviathan Third Generation
Role : Rapid response to enemy incursions into federation territory. Will be part of a Battlegroup designed exclusively for combat operations.

Systems : Energy system comprises three anti-matter injection generators, one for warp drive, one for shields and one for weapons, using technology developed for the Battlestar class. Sublight engines are cold fusion reactors. 18th generation computer system using four separate computer cores, each one capable of running the entire ship on it's own. Weapons comprise of fifty torpedo launchers, ten port, ten starboard, ten ventral, ten dorsal, five fore and five aft. Class XXIII energy emitter turrets capable of firing any type of energy (photon, plasma, disruptor etc) each with it's own individual targeting computer, during combat situations they can be programmed to fire upon any vessel that does not have a federation call-sign. Thirty mounted on each of four sides, seven fore and seven aft.

History: The Class III Leviathans are a direct response by the federation to the repeated threats along it's borders. It is hoped that the vessels, along with the Battlestar class currently under development, will help to dissuade the federations neighbours from crossing it's borders and raiding federation outposts and monitoring stations.

The USS Fearless is a young ship, launched just over a year ago and commissioned six months later. She is currently performing shakedown missions close to her home port of Cherek, her first unique mission is slated for early next year.

History: The HMS Sentinel is the oldest ship in Helix's fleet it was first built as a First generation Leviathan at an unknown location by the Regent of Anico and spent much of its early years on patrol around the Delta-verse When Helix became governor of the Anico's Star system the ship was transferred to him its Captain an old veteran named Calib Zain had been the ships captain for 30 years so Helix allowed him to continue this role until his death at aged 50 by this time its current Captain Leanne Zain had just finished her officers training and in an unprecedented move Helix assigned her as ships Captain saying "Leanne Zain may be young but she knows the ship and she knows the crew she is by far the most experienced officer for the job" this "risky" move paid off as Zain quickly became a Legend in her own right.

Today the Ship is well over 100 years old and has been refitted so many times it is now classed as a Second Generation Leviathan and still continues to lead on the front lines in any battle it is sent to.

Level 4 Progressive A.I. Launchable command structure.

History:The Explorers Shield is a prototype vessel, classified to the public. The ship was designed to incorporate the technologies of lost scientist George Ehrhardt, including the particle shield and Chronicle Drive. Final test of Hermite generator. Designed for any situation, and capable of manufacturing it's own resources and parts, it could stay of planet for ten years thanks to duplication technology(it works like this:if you put in 8, you'll get 2).
